Three separate airlines have introduced non-stop air service to the Myrtle Beach area this year. Spirit Airlines now features daily non-stop flights from Washington, D.C. Reagan National Airport, non-stop flights four times per week from Plattsburgh, N.Y. and Latrobe,what are the symptoms of Piles, Pa. and three times a week from Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Charleston, W.Va. For Canadian visitors, Porter Airlines is introducing its first fall service to Myrtle Beach from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, following two exceptional winter/spring seasons. As the only non-stop service from Canada, Porter will offer twice-weekly round trips on Thursdays and Sundays, beginning Sept. 8, until Nov. 20, 2011. Direct Air also began non-stop service from Myrtle Beach to Hagerstown, Md. and Lakeland, Fla. on June 23, 2011 twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.


In addition to 60 miles of beautiful beaches, the Myrtle Beach area is home to a wealth of attractions and activities for the whole family. May 20 marked the grand opening of Myrtle Beach's new SkyWheel. This giant observation wheel stands at 196 feet and 18 stories high along Ocean Boulevard. It includes 42 glass-enclosed, temperature-controlled gondolas that can hold six people and provides views of the ocean and downtown Myrtle Beach. WonderWorks Science Center, at Broadway at the Beach, is a hands-on science center that features attractions that allow people to feel what it is like to be in an earthquake and hurricane, fly a NASA space shuttle or fighter jet or ride a virtual rollercoaster. WonderWorks also features an outdoor zip line and pirate-themed ropes course. The newly opened Pirate Adventures is an interactive pirate sailing experience where young pirates learn the rules at sea aboard a real ship and use a treasure map to find a sunken treasure.How is TMJ pain treated?

On June 3, Dolly Parton opened "Pirates Voyage" ¨C an interactive experience that allows guests to feel the wonder, excitement and spirit of the pirates who docked on the shores of Myrtle Beach. The show features brand new music by Dolly Parton and Mark Brymer and includes acrobatics and live animals. "Beatlemania Now" hit the stage at Gilmore Auditorium, home of The Carolina Opry, on June 15. The Pat Boone Family Theater is slated for a grand opening in August 2011. The theater will have a resident illusionist and mentalist, Morgan Strebler, who will perform interactive and mind bending illusions. The theater will also host gospel concerts, Christmas shows and other family friendly events. The Celebration Music Theatre opened March 2011 and is home to the legendary tribute artist show "SUPERSTARZ! Live" and presents a variety of entertainment from tribute artists to live bands and comedy.

Home to over 1,700 full-service restaurants, the Myrtle Beach area does not lack in variety when it comes to cuisine.
