Whitney Elementary School in Boise is now home to the state's largest solar electric system. The installation includes 363 solar powers on the school's roof. What to consider before you buy oil painting supplies.
"They're going to be getting all this power. It's not costing them a penny. And they're going to be reaping the benefits of that,From standard Cable Ties to advanced wire tires," said Isaac Myers with Aurora Power and Design.
Myers says the panels could generate enough electricity to power the entire school on sunny days, and then some.
"Any access power that this school produces from the solar panels,Houston-based Quicksilver Resources said Friday it had reached pipeline deals they'll actually get a check back from Idaho Power at the end of the year," said Myers.
Aurora Power and Design expects a savings of $9,000 a year.
"So the impact is you're going to have lower power bills and the nice thing is that you're relieving pressure off of Idaho Power and the grid, so you're carbon footprint, if you will, is being reduced," said Myers.
Money to install the system didn't cost the Boise School District a penny. It came from federal stimulus dollars,we supply all kinds of oil painting reproduction, which will be funding even more solar projects in towns all across southwest Idaho.
"We are busier than heck which is a nice thing in this economy. In addition to hydraulics fittings and Aion Kinah, During a struggling time, we've taken people who've been out of work for a year or two years and have put six to eight people back to work full-time and getting to do something for the community and the environment," said Myers.
Aurora Power and Design expects to have the solar electric system at Whitney Elementary School operational by next month.
The Boise-based company will install another solar system at COSSA School in Wilder next month. It will be the state's second largest solar electric system.
