The Laughing Mom: humorous tales of motherhood

Sometimes daddies go away. It doesn’t much matter why. Maybe it was a tragedy or maybe it was his choice. Maybe the choices were made long before he became Daddy and he couldn’t see the consequences.

No matter why, the family left behind is like a puzzle with a missing piece. Little ones miss that piece more than Mommy . This is not the life we signed up for, she thinks.
Just Choose PTMS Injection Mold Is Your Best Choice!

At first, the heartbreak reigns, spoiling every happy moment with thoughts like, “He should be here for this,” or “He should be the one holding the baby right now while I hold the camera.”

Instead, no one holds a camera because pictures without Daddy seem wrong. The hole where that piece used to fit is so glaringly obvious that nothing works right. Every attempt to live normally feels like an awkward stumble in the dark.

Little ones ask, “Where is Daddy?” And it is followed by silence because Mommy can’t think of the right answer. Or they say, “I miss Daddy. I want my Daddy.” And that is followed by Mommy’s sobs and the most heartfelt, “I know, baby, I know.”

But life goes on. Even if we don’t like it, we are creatures of change. Even when we think I will never recover from this, we do. The little ones, especially, know how to move on. That is a blessing for them,The Transaction Group offers the best high risk merchant account services, and Mommy won’t take it away with her tears and bitterness.

But Mommy’s bitterness lingers still as she struggles to be both parents. It feels like a never-ending shift in a 24-hour café. This is not what I signed up for, she repeats over and over in her head.Omega Plastics are leading plastic injection moulding and injection mould tooling specialists. She feels the weight of the chores, the money and the raising of the children. Mommy can’t be two people, so instead she is two half-people, or less maybe. She is angry at life.

And then she starts to worry that her children are being cheated. They lost their Daddy, and now they are losing Mommy to the grudgeries of day-to-day living. She can point the blame at whoever or whatever took Daddy away, but in the middle of the night when no one is listening, she is admitting to the stars that she is failing. It is her negative attitude that is poisoning the little ones’ happiness, and she promises to pull it together ... in the morning.

Many mornings pass and she doesn’t fulfill her promise.Listing of Taiwan & China Mold Maker manufacturer & suppliers. But then, she finds herself awake again talking to the night, and she realizes that she has finally made the change she wanted. She is finally one whole parent who smiles again. Mommy doesn’t have to be both parents. She doesn’t even have to be Super Mom. She just has to embrace a new role as The Parent.

“That’s it,Online fine art gallery of quality original landscape oil paintings,” she realizes in the dark, “I can’t fit the traditional mold, so I will carve a new one.Welcome to the online guide for do-it-yourself Ceramic tile. The children can be happy, and so can I.”

So life goes on and all is well. Daddy becomes a person in old photos that the little ones happily remember. Mommy sighs with a twinge of pain but smiles a heartbeat later. The family is whole again, in a new way. Mommy teaches the children how to laugh and be thankful. She hopes that investment may lead them to their own happy families someday. She hopes they find a way to carve their own molds because life is worth living—with or without Daddy.

How I learned to like the Scion xB (second take)

It's not as nimble as the Kia Soul and its quirky looks have been outweirded by the Nissan Cube, but there's something about the 2011 Scion xB that merits a second look. Maybe it's the crazy paint on our Release Series 8.0 tester, maybe it's finally been around long enough to distance itself from the first-generation Scion xB in my mind, but the second-generation xB is starting to grow on me; I think that I'm starting to like it.

Where the xB wins hands down is in spaciousness. Where the Scion tC feels claustrophobic compared with its nearest competitor, the xB treats its driver and passengers to a high roof, lots of leg room,Use bluray burner to burn video to BD DVD on blu ray burner disc. and tons of shoulder space--a rarity in vehicles in the xB's price range. However, as spacious as the xB is, there's a lot of wasted space in its cabin. This is particularly true behind the driver's seat where something like the Honda Fit's Magic Seats or a sliding second row would take the xB from being merely cavernous to being genuinely flexible and fun.

The Scion xB's performance specs are nothing to get excited about--which is probably why the automaker all but hides them on its extremely busy Web site. From standard Cable Ties to advanced wire tires, We all scowled at the xB's four-speed automatic transmission and rolled our eyes at the horsepower.Choose from one of the major categories of Bedding, (Fortunately, a manual gearbox is available.) Trying to drive the xB like it's not a lunchbox on wheels is asking to be disappointed. That said, while there's not a ton of power to be had, the torque curve seems to place it exactly where you need it. I liked the low- to midspeed pickup that the xB's 2.Full color plastic card printing and manufacturing services.4-liter engine supplies--it's not what you'd call a fun drive, but at the speed limit, it's very capable. Start thinking "0 to 35" rather than "0 to 60" and the xB's performance makes a lot more sense.

Since you won't be getting anywhere quickly, you should at least enjoy the journey. Cabin technology,we supply all kinds of oil painting reproduction, however, is an area where the xB wins by failing. Bluetooth hands-free and "premium" audio are offered a la carte as a bit of a formality, but I can't really think that Toyota/Scion expects anyone to actually buy that crap. I know this because Scion makes it stupidly easy to install your own aftermarket gear. After spending three days in the trenches of CES 2009 installing three or four receivers per day in a donor xB's dashboard, I could probably yank that hideous Alpine-branded Scion receiver out in about 10 minutes and have a proper Alpine receiver in within 30.
