The official launch of this modern roofing company took place at a well-attended ceremony in Monrovia a local hotel last week.

He said the advances Decra has made from the continual research and development of its products provide the home owner, with the protection and safety they need for their families.
It may be recalled that in 1954, a New Zealander Lou Fisher discovered that the bitumen coating used to metal roofs in the United Kingdom had extended their life considerably.
Back in New Zealand, Fisher produced his first coated metal roof tiles and so the origins of Decra Roofing were born.
In 2003, Fletcher Building bought AHI Roofing, owner of the DECRA Roofing Systems’ brand. Fletcher Building became the largest company listed on the New Zealand stock exchange with a turnover of US$5.4 billion.

Collins enticed a gathering of construction engineers, architects, homeowners and government officials in Monrovia Tuesday that the new roofing technology is manufactured only from Zincalume (Alu-zinc) Steel.
He then went on to encourage all Liberians-private, business owners, and government officials to take advantage of DECRA Roofing Systems in order to make their properties comfortable, safe and beautiful.
Meanwhile, Mr. Collins has disclosed that his company has already begun training a number of Liberians on how to roof buildings using the DECRA Roofing products.
He expressed the hope that the trainees will take advantage of the training opportunity afforded them and acquire new skills.
Earlier, the head of BRAF Trading Mr. Wael A. Hosn said it was a pleasure for his company to introduce DECRA Roofing to Liberia.
“This is my company’s way of encouraging investors in the building industry in Liberia,” he said. BRAF is a business entity that deals only with high quality building materials in Liberia.
The company locally is associated with Metallum, a long established and reputable local company that produces zinc and other building materials in the country.
Decra Roofing will be available in Liberia only from BRAF in Sinkor and Metalum who are located in Vai Island.
